Her work has appeared in <em>Conde Nast Traveler<\/em>, <em>Pregnancy<\/em> magazine, <em>NY Metro Parents<\/em> magazine, as well as newspapers around the country.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.heather-maclean.com\/heathermacleancooks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/RB-copy-2.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-3525\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-3525\" src=\"http:\/\/www.heather-maclean.com\/heathermacleancooks\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/RB-copy-2.jpg\" alt=\"RB copy 2\" width=\"161\" height=\"227\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Named one of the \u201c16 Best Entrepreneurs in America\u201d by Sir Richard Branson, she accompanied the adventurous business legend on a 50,000-mile trip around the world, alternately helping improve the lives of others (designing sustainable development initiatives in South African villages) and fearing for her own (rappelling out of a Black helicopter in a Moroccan sandstorm). She was also the first civilian mom to experience zero gravity aboard a \u201cspace plane,&#8221; an experience she will never, ever repeat. Their journey, titled \u201cThe Rebel Billionaire,\u201d was televised on Fox TV in 2005 for an audience of 8 million viewers.<\/p>\n<p>Heather is also a former Disney executive. She launched several of the company\u2019s first, award-winning websites, and holds the distinction of being the first person to ever answer Mickey Mouse\u2019s email.<\/p>\n<p>When not castle hunting in her husband\u2019s native Scotland, she fills her days with her two beautiful daughters, Hunter and Hadley, and son, Gavin.<\/p>\n<p>Heather is both a fiction and nonfiction writer.
