Make Your Own Vintage Milk Bottles

You’ve seen them in gorgeous photos everywhere, hovering in the background behind stacks of scrumptious cookies: vintage milk bottles half filled with creamy white goodness. They are a must-have for most food photographers. Finding them, however, isn’t easy.

You can buy them online for a small fortune. Or if you’re extremely lucky like me stumble across one in Goodwill. (I about wept when I found my beloved Detroit Creamery antique bottle for one dollar. One dollar!) Or, thanks to Shawnda at Confections of a Foodie Bride, make them yourself out of Starbucks Frappuccino bottles.

Her excellent tutorial even shows you how to remove the date stamp. In a word: genius.
